Join the Turkey/Armenia group and the Graduate Student Colloquium in Armenian Studies for their film screening and panel on a story of restoration in Habap, Turkey.
We will be screening the film "Restoration of the Two Historic Fountains in the Village Habap in Elazığ."
"The restored Habap Fountains each constitute a unique example of Anatolian and Armenian architecture of fountains with multi niches. With the wells and complicated water canals that were discovered during the excavation process of the restoration, the fountains carry the traces of a great culture to our day. " - Hrant Dink Foundation
After the screening, we will have a panel discussion with guest speakers Anoush Suni (Ph.D Student at UCLA) and Shushan Kerovpyan (M.A. in History, EHESS). The discussion will be moderated by Ceyda Steele a NELC Ph.D Student at UCLA.
